Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 24 oz strained tomatoes
- 1 can whole plum tomatoes
- 1/2 bunch garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 green pepper
- 1/2 can tomato paste
- Handful fresh parsley, chopped
- Handful fresh basil, chopped
- Generous splash of wine (if you have it)
Directions
- Sautee the garlic, onion and green pepper.
- When soft, add turkey and cook until it is done and you can’t see any pink anywhere.
- Add both cans of tomatoes and paste, wine and salt and pepper.
- Stir in the herbs.
- Bring to a boil, turn down heat and let simmer for as long as you want, at least 45 minutes.
