  • 1/2 lb ground turkey
  • 24 oz strained tomatoes
  • 1 can whole plum tomatoes
  • 1/2 bunch garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1/2 can tomato paste
  • Handful fresh parsley, chopped
  • Handful fresh basil, chopped
  • Generous splash of wine (if you have it)


  1. Sautee the garlic, onion and green pepper.
  2. When soft, add turkey and cook until it is done and you can’t see any pink anywhere.
  3. Add both cans of tomatoes and paste, wine and salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in the herbs.
  5. Bring to a boil, turn down heat and let simmer for as long as you want, at least 45 minutes.
